Yoga

Yoga (योग) is an ancient Indian practice that unites the body, mind, and soul for holistic well-being. Derived from the Sanskrit root “Yuj” (युज्) meaning “to unite” or “to join,” yoga symbolizes the union of the individual self (Atman) with universal consciousness (Brahman).
It includes paths like Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Karma, and Jnana Yoga, and follows Ashtanga Yoga’s eight limbs—a system guiding one toward balance, awareness, and spiritual growth. 🧘‍♀️✨

Pranayama

Pranayama (प्राणायाम) is the yogic practice of breath control, enhancing physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

Derived from Sanskrit:
“Prāṇa” (प्राण) – “life force”
“Āyāma” (आयाम) – “expansion or regulation”

It means “regulating life energy through breath” and is a key limb of Ashtanga Yoga, bridging the body and mind. 🌿✨

Meditation

Meditation (Dhyāna – ध्यान) is a practice of deep concentration and awareness, fostering inner peace and self-realization.

Derived from the Sanskrit root “Dhyai” (ध्यै) meaning “to think or reflect,” it signifies profound contemplation.
In Ashtanga Yoga, Dhyāna is the seventh limb, leading to Samadhi (spiritual enlightenment) as described by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras. 🧘‍♀️✨
